Your responsibilities

  • You lead and develop a team of consolidation experts and build up the Consolidation & Closing function – including know-how transfer and the set-up of roles, processes and interfaces.
  • You own the closing process end to end and make it work reliably: closing calendar design & execution, validation of reporting packages, quality gates and status tracking – steering the close across legal entities and the Finance Operations team through to the consolidated figures.
  • You are responsible for the IFRS consolidation – capital, debt, income and expense consolidation, intercompany and interim profit eliminations – and for the consolidated statements, including cash flow statement, statement of changes in equity and the IFRS 8 segment reconciliation.
  • You assess and account for complex changes in the group structure – initial consolidations, deconsolidations, changes in shareholdings, non-controlling interests, disposals and discontinued operations (IFRS 3, 5, 10) – and support potential M&A and portfolio transactions.
  • You are responsible for tax accounting at group level – deferred taxes and the group tax reconciliation – in close cooperation with the Tax department.
  • You manage the audit of the consolidated financial statements – audit plan and timetable, PBC coordination and management letter follow-up – and are in regular contact with the auditor on operational accounting and closing topics.
  • You are the functional owner of the consolidation and closing logic in our systems and actively shape the implementation of our new planning, consolidation and reporting tool.
  • You make the close faster, more robust and capital-market-ready through fast close, standardisation, automation and data quality – and you are the go-to contact for complex consolidation questions across the group.

Your profile

  • You hold a degree in business administration or economics with a focus on accounting, audit or finance; a professional qualification (e.g. WP, CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • You have several years of experience in group consolidation of complex international structures – in the group accounting function of a listed or capital-market-oriented company and/or at an audit firm.
  • You have in-depth IFRS expertise, particularly in consolidation (IFRS 3, 5, 10, 11, IAS 12, IAS 21); experience with IFRS 9 hedge accounting and IFRS 16 is an advantage. You discuss accounting positions with auditors on an equal footing.
  • You have first leadership experience – disciplinary or as a functional or project lead – and want to build, develop and grow a high-performing team.
  • You have hands-on experience with consolidation and ERP systems, an affinity for data and automation, and ideally a track record in system implementation or fast-close projects.
  • Experience with carve-outs, spin-offs, IPOs or capital market readiness projects is a strong plus.
  • You communicate fluently in German and English. You work in a structured, hands-on way, stay calm under deadline pressure, take ownership and build trust across functions and countries.
