Your responsibilities

IT Applications Systems Developer for thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, Ohio. Duties include: Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, and test software solutions to support logistics processes and initiatives; provide software solutions for SAP-based logistics IT systems and programs, including interfacing with SAP MM, LE, WM, and PP modules, and configuring SAP master data elements, including data mapping and data conversion; connect company logistics system needs with applicable technology solutions, including reading and interpreting logistics process flow documentation and systematically developing software processes to provide specific logistics system functionality; and design, develop, and modify logistics-related programs, objects, and processes, including identifying required resources and communicating system requirements and project timelines to affected parties.

Your profile

Requirements: Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or foreign equivalent degree. 2 years of experience in a logistics systems analysis or specialist position in the automotive suspension system industry. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: developing software solutions for SAP-based logistics IT systems and programs in the automotive industry, including interfacing with SAP MM, LE, WM, and PP modules, for production and material planning, capacity planning of machinery, packaging management, and shipping and receiving operations; supporting operative logistics processes in the automotive industry, including planning for infrastructure and equipment needs, warehouse management and layout organization, internal transportation with vehicle fleets, transport management with forwarders and overseeing logistics service providers, inventory storage and cost reduction, and implementing 5S and lean management methodologies; developing and implementing new logistics system functionality into SAP systems utilizing BADI, and BAPI to enable external applications to access logistics processes and data in SAP R/3 systems; developing methods of facilitating communications between SAP-based logistics systems and MS Windows devices with Visual Basic .NET; and utilizing LSMW tools to develop methods for bulk transfer and conversion of data from non-SAP systems to SAP R/3-based logistics systems.
