Your responsibilities
Controls Engineers for thyssenkrupp Crankshaft Company, LLC in Danville, Illinois. Duties include:
- troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and participate in special electronics projects;
- troubleshoot, diagnose and repair plant equipment, including checking voltages, changing out bad components, switching out gauges, and making camera and software adjustments;
- perform PLC programming and diagnose machine faults and failures; research and recommend machine control upgrades to address outdated controls;
- document changes to electrical drawings and generate upgraded drawings;
- prepare daily log reports and document/track off-shift activity to ensure proper follow up on machine problems and repairs;
- assist E-Techs and work on special projects, including machine function additions and troubleshoot and repair plant equipment; and add PLC relay outputs based on customer requests.
Your profile
Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering, Autonomous Systems and Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent foreign degree.
1 year of work experience in a controls, commissioning, process, or project engineering role.
1 year of work experience with each of the following:
- programming PLCs and diagnosing machine faults and failures;
- researching and recommending machine control upgrades to address outdated controls;
- working on machine function additions, trouble shooting, and repairing plant equipment; and
- providing maintenance to at least two of the following: FANUC, Siemens, and Allen Bradley control systems.
Salary Range: $61,693 - $95,000 per year.
