Your responsibilities
Position Summary: This is a 2nd shift position. Set up and operate rolling mill to produce rolled rings and parts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Through continuous monitoring and measurement, assure that all products meet customer expectations
- Check work order for proper number of pieces and size. Set machine for proper diameter and height
- Through use of buttons, levers and switches, operate rolling mill to roll billets into rings and other parts
- During rolling process adjust radial and axial pressure as necessary
- Observe rolling process and instruments and make adjustments as necessary to prevent parts from becoming out of round or wavy
- Complete in-process inspection reports
- Assist Maintenance in rebuilding the rollers and making other repairs to rolling mill
- Assist /direct mill helper in changing tooling on mill, removing scale and amount of water to use when rolling ring to avoid equipment overheating
- Direct manipulator and crane operators in proper loading and unloading of pieces on mill
Export Control: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
Skills & Education Requirements: Mathematical skills including metric conversions. Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products. High school diploma or GED. Prior work experience in a forging production environment a plus.
