Your responsibilities
- Supervision and execution of refractory construction work in industrial plants (new construction, repair and refurbishment, hot repair and maintenance) worldwide, especially at coking plants during production operation, as well as at petrochemical plants during shutdowns and relining (ammonia, methanol, etc.)
- Actual dimension survey of the structures and trades to be lined or erected as well as of work carried out
- Supervision and execution of refractory masonry, concrete (incl. formwork construction) and insulation work
- Handling of different materials (bricks, concrete, wood, insulation, etc.)
- Professional organization and supervision of refractory construction work in partial construction areas by both own employees and subcontractors
- Organization and implementation of construction site facilities as well as clearance of the construction site
- Classification, coordination and quality monitoring of own and subcontractor services in the partial construction sector
- Coordination of the work in the partial construction area with the other construction areas and the construction management (foreman, site manager)
- Requisition, transport, storage and provision of equipment, machines and building materials
- Guidance and operation of construction machinery and equipment
Your profile
- You have successfully completed training as a furnace mason, chimney or concrete builder, furnace builder or comparable)
- Ideally, you have relevant professional experience in furnace construction, especially in the field of hot coke oven repairs, as well as a foreman or senior foreman training
- You look forward to varied activities as part of assembly work and are flexible with regard to working hours that may change at short notice
- You enjoy working on international projects and have a high willingness to travel.
- You have a class B driving license and a car at your disposal
- We require a good knowledge of German and/or English
- Health suitability for work under aggravating conditions is required, and proof of appropriate G-examinations is desirable
