We’re hiring a Machine Operator for our 3rd shift team to cut metal to length in a high-performing, safety-first environment. 🔑 Key Responsibilities
Must be certified in the material handler position.
Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to transport material safely.
Pull, inspect, and verify product accuracy before processing.
Set up machinery properly and safely according to detailed setup note specifications.
Process material per work order instructions, ensuring accurate measurements and documentation.
Confirm product matches specifications using written instructions and sample plans.
Communicate with sales representatives for order changes or clarification as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance and general equipment clean-up.
Enter or delete material ID tags per instructions.
Assist with packaging of finished material as per work orders and written guidelines.
Maintain and care for measurement tools and equipment.
Operate weighing scale accurately and record measurements.
Identify and segregate scrap or non-conforming material; document accordingly.
Provide operational feedback regarding machine performance and product quality.
Uphold safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for self and others.
Train coworkers as needed.
Support and participate in lean manufacturing and quality initiatives.
Work directly on the warehouse floor, operating around heavy machinery.
Demonstrate TKMNA employee attributes and core competencies.
📋 Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety practices
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry
Forklift operation experience
Skilled in using handheld measuring tools
Comfortable with computer systems and data entry
