Your responsibilities

  • Tracking Measures and Collecting Data from Suppliers
  • Analysis and evaluation skills are an advantage, preferably with Power BI and similar tools
  • It is helpful to be familiar with the various production processes in the automotive industry
  • You shape the global sustainability management and sustainability strategy in procurement at thyssenkrupp BILSTEIN in close collaboration with our Sustainability department.
  • You continuously analyze sustainability requirements in the supply chain (customers, legal requirements, corporate guidelines, etc.) and derive corresponding measures for procurement according to our global Sustainability Roadmap to meet these requirements.
  • You are our key user for the risk management tool to implement the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG).
  • You monitor LkSG-related risks and, if necessary, initiate mitigation measures, oversee their implementation, and document their completion in the risk management tool.
  • You manage internal and external procurement communication on sustainability in the supply chain.
  • You create and conduct supplier and employee training on sustainability requirements.
  • You define sustainability KPIs in procurement, determine and monitor them in the supply chain, and initiate measures if necessary.
  • You collect primary CO2 data from suppliers, calculate our Scope 3 carbon footprint, analyze it, and define a reduction pathway with suppliers.
  • You are part of the "SustainaBILSTEINer" network and our global point of contact for sustainability in procurement.

Your profile

  • You are passionate about sustainability and want to actively contribute to CO2-neutral mobility of the future.
  • You have successfully completed a degree in natural sciences, environmental sciences, economics, political science, engineering, or a comparable field with a focus on sustainability or human rights due diligence in the supply chain.
  • You have professional experience in an industrial environment, ideally several years in the automotive industry with insight into the entire product life cycle.
  • You possess extensive knowledge of relevant requirements (laws, regulations, customer requirements) as well as recognized sustainability guidelines (e.g., GRI, OECD, UN Guiding Principles, etc.).
  • In addition to excellent analytical and conceptual skills, you have strong assertiveness and implementation capabilities.
  • You impress those around you with your interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and enjoy close teamwork in an international work environment.
  • You have very good MS Office skills, particularly in Teams, Excel, PowerPoint & SharePoint, as well as M365, and consider yourself a digital native.
  • You are fluent in German or English, written and spoken, and are willing to travel occasionally for work.
