Your responsibilities

  • You will play a significant role in the international project management of chemical/industrial plant construction projects with high volume/complexity (i.e. EPC projects on turnkey and lumps sum basis).
  • Responsibility for strategic and operational planning and execution is in your hands in this exclusive role.
  • You do manage but lead a project team consisting of motivated and diverse members. You co-develop their goals and promote achievements.
  • You confidently move in an agile matrix organization and you represent the projects towards our customers.
  • You report directly to the Global Head of Project Management and act as an interface to various Operating Units of thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH.
  • Furthermore, implementing and promoting our forward-looking business strategy is part of this position.
  • With your wealth of experience you are responsible for the independent planning, structuring and processing of the execution as well as the active management of risks.
  • With your profound expertise you support the preparation of bids related to project management input such as schedules, hourly estimates and execution concepts.
  • You are responsible for the internal and external coordination of the relevant internal and external stakeholders incl. the customer and appear confident and experienced in this.

Your profile

  • You have a master's degree or PhD in engineering, ideally in mechanical engineering, process engineering or a similar discipline.
  • You have at least 15 years of professional experience in significant Project Management roles, mainly executing chemical plant construction projects.
  • In addition to that, you have also gained experience in project controls.
  • You convince with your excellent intercultural communication skills on every organizational level.
  • A sense of responsibility, the ability to work in a team, flexibility, pragmatism and commitment are characteristics that make you stand out.
  • Business fluent English as well as a result-oriented way of working is an absolute requirement.
  • Project Management Certification in accordance to PMI, Prince or IPMA.
  • Solid knowledge of the common MS Office applications, MS Project and/or Primavera.
  • The willingness to travel worldwide.
