Your responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES knowledge or background in the following. Other duties may be assigned. This is a 3rd shift position.

Perform inspections for compliance to company and customer drawings and specifications on goods and materials purchased and manufactured.

1. Through monitoring and measurement, assure that all products meet customer expectations and assure compliance with all procedural requirements.

2. Inspections include visual, dimensional, non-destructive testing, destructive testing and functional testing methods.

3. Document all findings on appropriate records, reports and notices.

4. Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of all inspection and quality equipment.

5. Assists with government or commercial source inspections.

6. Perform other inspection and quality control related functions, as required by supervisor.

Maintain a neat and orderly work area and perform all duties and operations in a safe manner in accordance with all Company rules and safety procedures

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Mathematical math skills must include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions and decimals. Must be knowledgeable of metric conversions. Knowledge and ability to apply basic algebra, plane geometry.
  • Computers and Electronics Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software including applications supported and used by Company as required.
  • Active Learning Understanding the implications of new information for both current and further problem-solving and decision-making
  • Reading comprehension, effective written and verbal communication.
  • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

    Previous experience working in a production environment preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Lifting and moving up to 100 pounds with use of lifting equipment. Visual acuity, near vision.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.

    High heat in summer months.

    EXPORT CONTROL

    This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
