Your responsibilities

  • This role holds global functional responsibility for business continuity and crisis management across all company locations, including full responsibility for business continuity at the corporate headquarters, managed remotely
  • Drive the development, harmonization, and operationalization of business continuity plans across the organization, coordinating with local BC representatives at each legal entity and ensuring effective governance of continuity measures at the HQ level from external base of operations
  • Preparation of the organization for extraordinary events (nature, technology, etc.) and methodical accompaniment/coordination
  • Ensure consistent application of the framework across all sites, while allowing for local adaptations in coordination with site-level functions
  • Ensure Compliance with relevant standards (e.g ISO 22301), law restrictions and customer requests
  • Prevention activities to avoid business interruptions or to restart as quickly as possible
  • Support or coordination of activities to obtain security certificates (e.g. AEO or C-TPAT)
  • Own and coordinate all business continuity activities for global headquarters, managing associated responsibilities remotely (with some local support) while ensuring integration with HQ-specific risk and operational structures
  • Further development of the BCM strategy including the associated activities such as e.g. Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Risk Analysis (RA), Business Continuity Plan Creation/Update (BCP) and Conducting Exercises/Tests/Simulations
  • Answering and supporting specialist inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Early identification of business-threatening developments
  • Design and roll out global training programs to build BC knowledge and awareness across all organizational levels

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Certification in Business Continuity (e.g., CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer) is a plus
  • At least 7 years of experience in business continuity or operational resilience, with a minimum of 3 years in a global or multi-site role
  • Strong understanding of business continuity, crisis management, and operational risk in a manufacturing or automotive setting
  • Experience working in a matrix organization, with proven ability to lead through influence
  • Strong communication and cultural awareness skills for effective global collaboration
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
  • Business fluent English, German is a plus
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • High level of risk awareness
  • High analytical skills
  • Professional, calm and consistent approach
  • Goal orientation and implementation ability
