Onlinemetals.com is the leader in B2B and B2C direct to consumer industrial metals sales in the United States – and sells both 1p and 3p items on its site. Online Metals has been in business for over 25 years and has customers throughout the US and the world.

Online Metals is searching for a social media specialist who will be responsible for taking our organic social and pr efforts to the next level.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage social media planning, strategy, integration, and implementation for the university:
• Follow and keep up to date Onlinemetals’s social media plan,
• Collaborate with other departments across the company to integrate social media efforts,
• Develop content for social media, including articles, posts, and videos.
• Directly engage with customers, employees, and partners for opportunities to produce and share content on social
• Develop ideas and strategies for PR and marketing stories and content:
• Brainstorm and develop PR and social media campaign plans,
• Create graphics and videos for social media content.
• Write materials for social media and respond to online comments.
• Agency and vendor management.
• Social media tracking and reporting.
• Support for promotional events, campaigns, and activities that support customer acquisition and retention
• Performs other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of best practices for social media channels.
• Ability to work effectively with all external audiences as well as Online Metals staff at all levels.
• Outstanding writing skills and ability to write effectively for different audiences.
• Understanding of and ability to develop relationships with media.
• Work independently, conceptualize projects, and manage multiple priorities.
• Perform creative writing and related activities such as conducting interviews, research, and editing.
• Work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret information accurately.
• Ability to influence others positively.
• Initiate creative and innovative promotional ideas.
• Demonstrated skill and ability in the use of social media, including X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Demonstrated skill and ability in the effective use of equipment, computers and other resources for completion of projects such as posters, displays, PowerPoints, etc.
• Self-direction and reliability.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.

Big plus if the candiate has social experience in our field - metals, materials, or in industrial production.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of marketing and communications for B2b and B2C
  • Strong teamwork mindset but able to work solo in a motivated, productive and creative way
  • Strong Creative Writer
  • Strong Social Media Experience (business focused)
  • Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge of printing design, layout, and production processes, systems, and tools.
  • Knowledge of photographic and reproduction techniques, equipment, and processes gained either in a college level training program or on the job.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies

Preferred Requirements: SEE ABOVE SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications preferred

Job Compensation

$75K-$85K
