Aufgaben
- Systematic identification and evaluation of customer and supplier claims.
- Analyze contract conditions and assess claim entitlement under applicable law.
- Legal and commercial assessment of complex claim situations, supported by solid legal reasoning and economic analysis.
- Development of structured evidenced-based claim strategies, including scenario evaluations, negotiation strategies, settlement approaches, and risk assessments.
- Preparation of claim files, documentation, and supporting evidence in close cooperation with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Procurement, and Finance to ensure consistent, transparent, and timely claim handling.
- Draft clear and professional claim letters with strong factual and contractual grounding.
- Negotiating with customers and suppliers on claimrelated matters, ensuring commercially and legally robust outcomes.
- Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements and related contractual documentation as well as handling alternative dispute resolution and formal dispute proceedings, in close collaboration with the lawyers of the Legal Department.
- Coordination with external counsel where needed.
- Further development of the standardized claim management process and implementation across all thyssenkrupp automotive units.
- Definition of best practices, tools, templates, and reporting structures for consistent global claim handling.
- Monitoring performance indicators to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Functional leadership, training and coaching of employees and teams on claim awareness, claim prevention, documentation requirements, and contractual risk implications within a matrix organization.
- Acting as the central point of contact for all claimrelated matters.
Profil
- A university degree in Law is required; additional qualifications in other businessrelated fields are considered an advantage. Admission to the bar is likewise considered an asset.
- Several years of professional experience in claim management in an international industrial environment.
- Sound understanding of automotive industry processes, particularly OEM/Tier1/Tier2 interactions, is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to interpret technical and contractual documentation.
- Proven track record of handling complex negotiations and resolving claims.
- Excellent English language skills; additional languages such as German are beneficial.
- Strong analytical capabilities and structured problemsolving skills.
- High level of assertiveness, resilience, and professionalism in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a resultsdriven mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix organization.
- Reliable, detailoriented, and capable of handling multiple claims and priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
