Job Summary
This position is part of a Corporate Shared Services team located in Southfield, MI with a satellite service center located in Gdansk, Poland.Job Description
The Corporate Shared Services team has the overall responsibility for timely and accurate handling of:
- Customer and vendor master data integrity
- Vendor invoices, payments and inquiries
- Customer cash receipts and related inquiries
- Government regulatory filings
- Audit support for periodic internal and external audits
The primary responsibilities of the Shared Services Accounting Administrator position include all activities relating to vendor disbursements including, but not limited to:
- Handling of incoming vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate processing
- Handling of vendor inquiries relating to open items and/or payments processing
- Reconciliation of vendor statements against open vendor accounts
- Ensuring compliance to governmental regulations
- Direct contact with both internal and external resources for issue resolution
Essential Skillset and Characteristics:
- Bachelor degree in accounting (or related field)
- Minimum of one year experience in an SAP environment
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc)
- High degree of accuracy is critical
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude during stressful situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
