MISSION OF THE POSITION
The Buyer is responsible for executing procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of indirect materials, services, and selected direct material categories required to support manufacturing and business operations. The role is accountable for sourcing, supplier management, purchase order administration, contract execution, procurement governance, SAP master data maintenance, and continuous improvement of procurement processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Purchasing Manager executing procurement activities for indirect product components as needed
- Indirect procurement for Maintenance, Repair and Operations, Office Supplies, Safety & PPE, Rental Agreements, Packaging materials, Spares.
- Negotiate logistics contracts and monitor their performance.
- SAP ERP–driven procurement execution and data management.
- Cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
- Management of annual procurement portfolio

REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or finance with 2 years of procurement experience / Or 4 years of procurement experience with indirect materials
- Minimum 1 year of SAP experience with SAP MM / SAP S/ 4 Hana, or ERP-driven purchasing processes.
- Familiar with procurement processes including document validations.
- Experience with data analysis
- Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Technical background regarding parts, pieces, and equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- High problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of market prices
- Ability to negotiate
- Knowledge of vendor base
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
