Main Duties:
- Ensure compliance with HSSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across all project sites and facilities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and support the well-being of employees and subcontractors.
- Implement and monitor risk assessments, control measures, and site security requirements.
- Conduct HSSE inspections, audits, incident investigations, and ensure timely reporting of findings.
- Liaise with customers, authorities, and other stakeholders on HSSE matters.
- Maintain accurate HSSE documentation, records, and performance reports.
- Coordinate HSSE awareness campaigns, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support employee health and wellness programs, including occupational health initiatives.
- Establish, maintain, and test Emergency Response Plans and emergency drill programs.
- Administer and continuously improve the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system during construction and pre-commissioning phases.
Some of the Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of project HSSE procedures, tools, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective application of HSSE programs, policies, and procedures across the project site.
- Promote and drive the use of safety tools and programs, including LMRA, TON Cards, and Behavior-Based Safety (BBS).
- Assist in the investigation, analysis, and reporting of incidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses.
- Participate in internal and client site coordination meetings on HSSE matters.
- Lead and facilitate HSSE meetings with subcontractors.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with HSSE policies, management systems, and project requirements.
- Verify that risk assessments are conducted and implemented for all site activities.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the site HSSE team to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (preferably Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering).
- Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in the HSSE field, including at least 5 years of experience managing EPC projects within the petrochemical and fertilizer industries.
- Egyptian HSE Specialist and Advanced HSE Specialist certifications are mandatory.
- NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, Basic Firefighting, and First Aid certifications are required.
- NEBOSH International Diploma and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of TapRooT Root Cause Analysis methodology is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, audit reports, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting formal incident and accident investigations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Emergency Preparedness, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity Planning.
