Your responsibilities

The Supplier Quality Management Engineer is responsible for ensuring supplier quality excellence across the entire product lifecycle, from supplier sourcing and product industrialization through serial production and ongoing supplier performance management. This role serves as the primary quality interface between suppliers and cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality, driving proactive risk mitigation, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier quality activities from sourcing through serial production.
  • Support supplier selection through quality, capability, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate APQP activities and monitor program milestones.
  • Review and approve PPAP submissions.
  • Support prototype, pre-production, and production part validation.
  • Assess supplier capacity, process capability, and launch readiness.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier-related quality and manufacturing risks.
  • Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier performance through quality and delivery KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and quality standards.

    • Your profile

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering or similar

    Experience:

    • Professional experience in the automotive industry.
    • Experience with Supplier management desired.
    • Experience with Commodities: Machining & Powder Metal (Sintering) desired.
    • Extensive Knowledge & Experience of QM tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, VDA, etc.)
    • Extensive knowledge & Experience of root cause analysis (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa 5W2H, etc.)
    • Experience in applications of FMEA and SPC
    • Experience with Process Readiness Audit.
    • Experience with VDA 6.3 Audit
    • Knowledge of GD&T
    • Advanced English mandatory; other foreign languages is a plus.

    Travel: International up to 70%
