Job Description
Summary of Position:
Responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with orders once received from sales. This includes, but is not limited to, order input into our operating system, verification of customer requirements, forwarding of information to the supplier, sales order creation and maintenance, order management and tracking, and order expediting.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support sales staff within the areas of customer service and supplier relations
- Order entry, purchase order preparation and validation
- Invoicing & crediting customers and coding supplier/vendor invoices & debits
- Coordinate logistical and supply chain needs as related to orders (Inland and Sea)
- Build relationships and negotiate with logistical service and warehouse providers
- Monthly reconciliation of inventories, as needed
- Continuously increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures
- Work in a team environment, communicating as required with all personnel
- Attend meetings with team members, as needed
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities, as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or comparable experience
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Solid computer skills in order to assemble and process orders and information in a timely and efficient manner.
- Effective communication and listening skills is necessary
- Exposure to the concept of movement of goods or logistics
Desired:
- 1 to 2 years experience in sales or office support
- Bi-lingual: English & Mandarin is a plus
