Your responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SAP Master Data Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP Material Master and Business Partner Master Data across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

The role will be responsible for managing and supporting master data processes, with a strong focus on Material Creation, Material Classification, Business Partner Master Data, and SAP MDG. The ideal candidate should have practical experience working with SAP Master Data processes and an understanding of data quality and governance requirements.

Experience in the Steel or Metals industry will be an added advantage.

  • Manage and support Material Master and Business Partner Master Data processes in SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
  • Create and maintain Material Master data based on defined business requirements and processes.
  • Perform Material Creation and ensure accurate maintenance of relevant master data fields and views.
  • Support Material Classification activities in SAP and ensure appropriate classification of materials.
  • Work on SAP MDG processes for master data creation, change, validation, and governance.
  • Participate in SAP MDG implementation and enhancement activities.
  • Analyze master data requirements and coordinate with business teams to ensure accurate and complete data.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure adherence to defined master data standards.
  • Support master data migration, cleansing, enrichment, and data quality activities where required.
  • Investigate and resolve master data-related issues within agreed timelines.
  • Work closely with functional teams such as MM, SD, FI, and other business functions to resolve master data dependencies and issues.
  • Prepare and maintain master data process documentation and work instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to master data quality, governance, and standardization.
  • Ensure compliance with established master data governance processes and controls.

Your profile

  • 5-6 years of relevant experience in SAP Master Data.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP Master Data processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Material Master Data and Business Partner Master Data.
  • Experience working on SAP ECC and S/4HANA master data environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Material Creation.
  • Good understanding of Material Classification in SAP.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP MDG implementation.
  • Experience in SAP Master Data support and issue resolution.
  • Good understanding of master data governance, data quality, and validation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global and cross-functional environment.
  • SAP MDG Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in the Steel or Metals industry will be an added advantage.
