Your responsibilities

  • Job offer for 30 hours per week and fixed-term contract for 2 years
  • You will represent the connection between procurement and project management and take on purchasing responsibility for concurrently assigned projects in series production or project-based business
  • You will take part in the offer process for the customer, as well as in project review meetings and regular coordination with the purchasing team and our international sites
  • You will be responsible for finalizing all project-related contracts with suppliers and ensuring compliance with all purchasing-specific N5 processes
  • You will work with the commodity buyer in accordance with their specified strategy and ensure compliance with and improvement of project budgets as directed by the purchasing management
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that costs, time and quality are managed and optimised in line with project requirements to guarantee the project’s success
  • You will coordinate material requirements with departmental needs based on prices and availability, and clarify quality requirements using technical drawings and specifications for the quotation process

Your profile

  • You have completed a university degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering
  • You have many years of professional experience in procurement, preferably within the automotive industry
  • You are proficient in SAP R3 and have excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • You think and work analytically, in a structured and independent way, and have excellent assertiveness, presenting yourself convincingly through your competent and confident manner
  • You are convident and have a strong interpersonal skills, as well as communication and persuasion skills
  • You have solid computer skills, particularly in MS Office
  • You have fluent knowledge of German and English
  • You enjoy international business travel

As an integrated body construction specialist, the company offers project business including plant engineering, toolmaking and prototype construction as well as the series production of body components from a single source. By utilizing the extensive synergies between these areas, Automotive Body Solutions is the leading contact for all aspects of bodywork.

From receiving your documents to acceptance: the application process

Step 1

Online application

Have you found an interesting vacancy? Then apply online. You won’t need more than 10 minutes. The entire application process – from initial contact to response – usually takes between four and six weeks.

Receipt of your application

You will receive confirmation that we have received your application – within a few minutes if you apply online; it may take a couple of days if you apply by email. Our recruiters check your application documents and get in touch with you. For some positions we will conduct a preliminary telephone interview with you.

Interview

If you are a suitable candidate for the job, we’d like to get to know you personally in an interview with the specialist department and HR. If you or we need more time, we'll invite you to a second interview.

The offer

Once we have agreed the contractual details, we will send you an employment contract. We will of course also let you know if your application is not successful.
