Aufgaben
The Plant Layout Designer II is responsible for working with proposal managers, project managers and other engineers to generate 2D and 3D arrangements that meet the needs of the client and the process. This position requires a highly organized individual with the ability to coordinate and make decisions based on their impact on layout, schedule, and budget.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Work on proposals and projects gathering and generating all necessary documentation related to plant layout work.
- Prepare layout feasibility studies for proposals clearly showing opportunities and challenges.
- Generate 3D models and 2D general arrangements using E3D software.
- Review and sign off on GAs generated by colleagues.
- Defining necessary access and clearances relating to equipment maintenance and floor penetrations
- Maintain clear communication with project managers, engineers, and management.
- Check and approve flow sheets, civil drawings, outside engineering, and vendor drawings as related to layout.
- Some field investigation will be required.
- Review client specifications and ensure they are met, or exceptions are negotiated.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Profil
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering; and/or 5 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Involvement working with some of the following equipment: bulk material movers, fans, bag houses, pneumatic conveying systems.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions related to the work assigned with limited direction or guidance.
- Experience generating layout drawings and reviewing mechanical and structural drawings.
- Possess superior oral and written communication skills.
- Interact positively with the client, project teams, equipment suppliers, and outside engineers.
- Advanced 3D design software experience (PDMS/E3D Preferred).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of cement plant layout experience or similar.
- Advanced understanding of cement and minerals processing plants including but not limited to, process duct work, crushers, screening, pneumatic systems, material movers.
- Experience working with an international company.
- Willingness to coordinate across multiple time zones.
Travel Demands:
- Up to 20%.
