Aufgaben

Job Summary

Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, the Payroll Analyst performs weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll full-cycle processing activities in a unionized, multi-state environment across US and Canada locations. This position will have primary responsibility for end-to-end processing of weekly and biweekly payroll processing with multiple legal entities. This position will have responsibility for performing audits and balancing payrolls. This role requires confidentiality, analysis, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.

Job Description

Payroll Processing (70%)

  • Payroll Processing: US & Canada. Primary responsibility.
    • Ensure timely completion of payroll including all payroll on and off cycles for Canada and US payrolls utilizing Workday.
    • End to end processing from pulling timekeeping, balancing, retros, audits, controls, to settling the payrolls.
  • Off cycle Processing: US & Canada. On Wednesdays and Fridays, process off cycle requests from the Help ticketing queue.
  • Execute manual workarounds using spreadsheets, data bases or other means. Recommend solutions to automate
  • In collaboration with other payroll team members, respond to all local, state, federal, and provincial government inquiries in a timely manner
  • Canada duties
    • Yearend adjustments to ensure accurate preparation of tax slips in all jurisdictions.
    • ROE Processing
    • CRA & RQ remittances
    • Bank file transmissions.
  • In collaboration with other payroll and HRIS team members, perform positive and regression user acceptance testing on all system changes to ensure accurate payroll.
  • Collaboration with team members to resolve payroll processing issues.
  • Stay up to date on compliance requirements for payroll in all relevant jurisdictions and raise issues or changes to supervisor
  • Maintain procedure documentation for all relevant procedures
  • Perform administrative activities as required.

Daily support (30%)

  • Resolve Help cases from employee questions to HR requests for changes.
  • Payroll Uploads: Commission, Incentive, bonus, etc
  • Prior pay period time adjustments via historical corrections in ADP eTime (Kronos Work Force Central)

Qualifications

  • Related degree or diploma or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience processing full cycle payroll in a unionized, multi-state jurisdiction
  • 2+ years experience processing full cycle Canadian payroll across multiple jurisdictions, Quebec preferred
  • 5+ years experience with HCM applications such as Workday (preferred)
  • CPP (US) and PCP (Canada) certification preferred
  • Excellent accuracy, problem solving, analytical, and time management skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with ADP eTime and/or Kronos (preferred)
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members.
