Your responsibilities
The MRP/Materials Analyst reports to the Materials Planning Manager and is responsible for leading strategic material planning efforts, optimizing inventory management, and improving supply chain processes. This role involves overseeing material status reporting, managing supplier performance, and driving cross-functional initiatives. The Analyst provides solid guidance to the planning team and implements process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. With deep expertise in ERP systems and data analysis, the Senior Analyst plays a key role in supporting high-level decision-making and achieving business goals.
Some responsibilities:
- Analyze the stock report to develop actions to keep material within acceptable targets for inventory levels
- Facilitate collaboration within the planning team to achieve material management objectives
- Monitor future purchase orders/requisitions from suppliers to ensure meeting inventory goals
- Lead the assessment of supplier performance, establishing key metrics and driving process improvements to enhance supplier reliability
- Raise any potential customer delivery or raw material shortage
- Lead strategic initiatives to optimize supply chain processes and reduce costs while maintaining inventory levels.
- Provide high-level data analysis and forecasts to support executive decision-making related to inventory planning.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on MRP systems and material management, advising leadership on best practices
- Identify and lead the implementation of new technologies and process improvements for material planning
Your profile
We are seeking a professional licensed applicant with a minimum of 3 years in the Production Planning or Demand Planning or Logistics Position. Desirable experience in automotive industry or any large scale manufacturing industry.
Having experience in a experienced or leadership capacity overseeing material planning or logistics operations is a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- SAP-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to model complex data scenarios, and strong expertise in ERP systems, including SAP
- Understanding of different business functions
- Excellent oral and written language ability
- Customer service skills
- Basic mathematical ability
- Excellent reasoning and problem solving skills
- Ability to cope with changes
- Excellent organizational skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Strong computer skills and Proficiency in other Microsoft Office products
- Previous experience with SAP is preferred.
