Your responsibilities
You will take on the process engineering design as well as the planning and coordination of the process engineering activities in the preparation of offers, orders and development projects for plants for the production of ammonia. You will optimize process engineering concepts, support service activities and develop them further. This includes the following activities which you do in parts by yourself or coordinate in a team:
- Leading a group or team, delegate tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards in the deliverables.
- As part of the engineering activities, you create technical documents and communicate with the individual engineering disciplines.
- You carry out optimizations for entire plants, individual process steps and plant equipment.
- Due to your experience you support to provide our clients with services such as HAZOP analysis, debottlenecking, troubleshooting of plant operation and optimization of operation.
- Conducting negotiations with customers, licensors and suppliers.
- You support the detail engineering, e.g. of our affiliates, third-party companies and our partners.
- You carry out commissioning of the process plants on our worldwide construction sites.
- You will work on development projects to strengthen our technologies.

Your profile
- You have a degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or mechanical engineering with a focus on process engineering.
- You have been using commercial process engineering tools such as ASPEN, COMOS and SMARTPLANT.
- You have several years of professional experience in chemical plant or equipment design or operations experience in an Ammonia plant and very good knowledge of mechanical and thermal process engineering, preferably as lead engineer or a similar role.
- You are experienced in dealing with MS Office applications.
- You have experience in leading a team or project.
- You have initiative, willingness to make decisions and are willing to take on interesting, complex task and take a high degree of responsibility.
- Fluent in English at negotiation level.
- As part of your responsibility, you travel to our customers and international construction sites, including for commissioning, sometimes for several months.
