Aufgaben
- Taking over of the disciplinary and professional management as well as development of the division Project Management of the Business Unit Uhde of the thyssenkrupp Decarbon Technologies segment. Reporting directly to the COO of the Business Unit, ensuring alignment with global organizational goals and standards.
- Responsibility of the successful handling and completion of international A-level-projects in EPC turnkey plant industry and leading of all Project Management disciplines to ensure project success according to thyssenkrupp standards and governance.
- The disciplines include Project Management, Project Controls, Project Scheduling, Project Change Management, Document Management, Operations Support.
- A special focus should be placed on empowering project scheduling and giving it a more active/proactive role.
- Our PM division should operate more globally and in the context of competence centers in the future - you will drive this forward.
- Developing and implementing KPIs for Project Management. Tracking and analyzing KPIs to evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization efforts.
- Increasing efficiency and effectiveness in project execution: responsibility for the creation, development, coordination, follow-up and improvement of all relevant processes and related PM-guidelines.
- Overseeing project reporting activities, including progress reports, financial statements, and risk assessments. Collaborating with Commercial Operations division to monitor project finances, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions to ensure budget adherence and profitability.
- Identification and evaluation of chances and risks of the projects as well as the development of the necessary strategies and measures.
- Defining project management processes internationally and ensuring their compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Managing interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, third party companies, engineering and process technology divisions, commercial divisions etc. to address project-related issues and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of project management strategies related to clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and involved technical disciplines.
- Responsibility for the fulfillment of contracts with the customer.
- Management of Project Controls processes including Risk-, Opportunity- and Change Management
- Leads project teams including efforts towards quality control and timelines.
- Responsible for training and development of (Senior) Project Managers & Project Directors.
Profil
- At least 10 years of professional experience in international EPC turnkey in chemical-, energy-, and/or mining industry with volumes up to hundreds-of-million as a Senior Project Manager/Director.
- Degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering or similar), supplemented by an economic degree (MBA).
- Experience in working with corporate decision makers, contractors and internal & external stakeholders.
- Proven records of leading international teams respective intercultural awareness and ability to leverage cultural differences.
- Experience in establishing complex project scenarios and respective profound knowledge in project management tools.
- Proven track record in different Project Management disciplines.
- International construction site experience over a significant period.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with accounting/financial reporting in SAP and MS Office Package.
- Drive and able to work under high pressure while still meeting highest level of results.
- A strong customer orientation as well as a keen sense of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
