Your responsibilities
Main Tasks & Accountabilities
- Knowledge of mandatory statutory laws and regulation in the country.
- Implement specific policy, strategy, objectives, guidelines, measures and minimum
- standards within the framework defined and developed by the global tk Uhde
- Drive HSSE values into the business activities thereby promoting a Process of innovation and a safety first culture
- Develop and implement Programs and procedures to meet the objectives and targets in Health & Safety
- Create an HSSE culture of awareness and collaboration within the business environment.
- Build a close working relationship with the business units as well as Regional Cluster and Corporate HSSE and have regular meetings and cooperation with the HSSE team.
- Fully understand site specific safety guidelines and requirements and assist in development of site specific safety documentation.
- Advise specialists and managers on Health, Safety, Security, Environment issues and organize HSSE training.
- Actively support the realization of local organization minimum standards in the country
- Monitor and support the collection and assessment of data and key performance indicators in the country.
- Deploy and drive auditing process to adhere to standards
- Define, plan and initiate measures. Ensuring that a corrective action process, which includes tracking and reporting, is in place for safety concerns, non-conformances, compliance findings and improvement objectives
- Responsible for Health & Safety management (ISO 45001) & Environment management system (ISO 14001)
Rights/Authorities
- HSSE Policy Implementation Authority: Authority to implement and enforce health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) policies. This includes ensuring policies align with industry regulations and standards.
- Inspection and Audit Authority: Authority to conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits. Authority to inspect work areas, equipment, and procedures to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Stop Work Authority: Authority and assignment to address unsafe conditions and actions and stop them where necessary
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (Preferably Chemical or Civil or Mechanical)
- Degree in engineering, with NEBOSH or equivalent recognized qualifications in OSH
- Minimum 10 years of experience or Academic degree with NEBOSH minimum working experience 15 years in international projects including construction sites. (For HSSE Head)
- Minimum 5 years of HSSE experience (For HSSE Manager acting as Head)
- This experience should be relevant to construction industry pertaining to refineries, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers plants etc, with international contractors.
- Experience of working with tk / tk Uhde is a plus
