Your responsibilities
- Leading of Powerpack and ECU pre-series and series development including mechanical and electronic sub components
- Ensuring achievement of project goals in regards of costs, timing and quality
- Responsibility for E/E hardware development and industrialization (EMS & ME)
- BQEEI leader (project and engineering) and technical lead supplier contact during the supplier selection, supplier development, industrialization, launch, ramp up and series production of ECU and powerpack; member of the project review team; series support (e.g. field returns, PCN/PON/Errata)
- Elaboration, optimization and surveillance of ECU (EMS supplier) and powerpack manufacturing in coordination with SQM / industrialization team, preparation product releases and controlled change management process
- Modularization / Standardization: Implementation of a modular system for powerpack and ECU strategy as well as the reduction of the modular solutions to an economically reasonable level; Support the definition of a standard for ECU and powerpack requirements and interfaces
- Ensuring requirements coverage (Compliance Matrix); Ensuring consistency between requirements and technical solutions as well as lessons learned and CIP (Continuous improvement process)
- Planning of product validation, Review of test series for components and assemblies regarding functionality including documentation with focus on ECU and powerpack platform development
- Idea generation for new products, cost optimization potentials, technical benefits and customer features, patent application for the ideas
- Support idea generation for new products, cost optimization potentials, technical benefits and customer features, patent application for the ideas
- Technical Support of sales / CPM's / purchasing / commodity / cost engineering / SQM / ME while acquisition, project development and series phase until EOP in regards of ECU and powerpack platform topics
- Support of the team E/E and ensuring efficient project execution for mechatronic developments regarding E/E-topics; increasing the added value, standardization and synergies through ECU and powerpack including housing, connector, cabling and motor
- Strong leadership in the sense of product ownership (functional, projects, goals definition)
- Project coordination: E/E hardware (Powerpack, ECU, motor, sensor, harness) project planning, execution and documentation aligned with the E/E PL
Your profile
- BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong social and communication skills
- Project management and technical leadership experience (teams with up to 50 members)
- Strong competence in industrialization (EMS & ME)
- Competence in problem-solving methodologies: DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone, Ishikawa, etc.
- Flexibility, willingness to travel
- Fluent English skills
