Your responsibilities
- Lead and develop a global team of procurement and logistics professionals.
- Develop and implement global supply chain strategies for sourcing and logistics aligned with business objectives.
- Drive global category management and supplier strategies through the Global Lead Buying concept.
- Ensure early involvement of procurement in projects to optimize cost and delivery performance.
- Establish and maintain procurement regulations and operating instructions across all regions.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, sustainability, and governance standards (ESG).
- Preparing organization for audits (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Oversee global supplier qualification, evaluation, and development processes.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier portfolios, leveraging innovation and cost optimization.
- Manage global purchasing processes, including inquiries, negotiations, and purchase orders.
- Approval and release of sourcing contracts and logistics partnerships.
- Monitor performance metrics, risks, and opportunities in supply markets.
- Enable optimized ways of working (outsourcing, automation, make-or-buy decisions).
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Service, and Manufacturing.
Your profile
- You hold a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Procurement or a comparable qualification.
- You bring extensive professional experience in international procurement, ideally within international plant engineering, as well as proven leadership experience in an international environment.
- You are able to present complex issues in a clear and understandable manner.
- You are characterized by a strong analytical thinking and results-oriented working style.
- You have excellent negotiation skills, persuasiveness, and high team orientation.
- You have a very good command of English, both written and spoken, and solid knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with SAP-MM.
- You are willing to travel nationally and internationally.
