Your responsibilities

  • Define and revise the global commodity strategy, lead global sourcing activities and commercial negotiations in order to achieve global targets.
  • Monitor the market potentials, cost developments and keep the global organization updated about the trends regularly.
  • Analyze and approve local sourcing strategies and be responsible for global sourcing strategies, support Sourcing Board presentations.
  • Define the global supplier strategy, optimize and maintain the bidders list of commodity.
  • Finalize frame contracts with suppliers, coordinate changes. Establish and maintain risk management.
  • Functional leader of the global team of Commodity Buyers, consultant of Project Buyers, reports to Global Head of Procurement.
  • Escalation management according to Logistics and Quality escalation processes.
  • Coordination and release of new suppliers together with SQE.

Your profile

  • Requirements
    • Degree in Engineering or Economics
    • At least 5 years professional experience in commodity management (global commodity management is preferred)
    • Technical background would be preferred (steel related commodity is advantage)
    • Working experience in multinational environment (automotive is advantage)
    • Confident handling of MS Office and SAP
    • Excellent knowledge of English language
