Your responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: This is a 3rd shift position. Perform operations of machining center. Emphasis on safety, quality and delivery. Must have the ability to organize cell workflow and properly plan necessary machining sequence(s) for optimal OEE. Must understand and meet all inspection requirements for compliance to drawings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
- Assure that all products meet customer expectations and assure compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Assure all manufacturing and quality related tools/materials are in calibration and of the latest revision.
- Plan machining by having a fluent understanding of assets and related equipment.
- Review all specifications and prints/drawings and programs. Understand all GD&T requirements for any given process.
- Machine set-up along with program downloading and editing fluency. G & M codes, work shifts and setting tool offsets require mathematical equations. Asset control knowledge ‘Fanuc or Siemens’ interface and the knowledge to navigate the control to improve operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of tooling. Knowledge of turning and drilling tools and the features the tooling will generate.
- Maintain the work cell and environment to premium standards. Includes asset appreciation surrounding floor and support equipment as in lifting tackle and set-up tooling.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED. Previous Machining experience and practices a must. Blueprint and GD&T knowledge is necessary
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be skilled in blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Mathematical math skills must include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions and decimals. Must be knowledgeable of metric conversions. Knowledge and ability to apply basic algebra, plane geometry.
- Computers and Electronics Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software including applications supported and used by Company as required for this job ex. Mp2 and production data recording.
EXPORT CONTROL:
This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
