About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, data-savvy Buyer I to join our collaborative team at our Auburn Hills HQ. This hybrid role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and teamwork in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
🔍 What You’ll Do
As a Buyer I, you’ll play a key role in supporting our supply chain operations by:
You’ll be supporting supply chain operations by:
- Quoting & Contracts: Assisting with sales contracts and quoting processes.
- Procurement: Turning purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
- Inventory Management: Using ERP systems (especially SAP) to manage inventory levels.
- Supplier Coordination: Working with suppliers to meet inventory goals and timelines.
- Returns & Adjustments: Handling returns, credits, and debits efficiently.
- Vendor Relations: Building strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
- Supplier Reviews: Supporting reviews and tactical negotiations with suppliers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with Product Managers and Supply Chain leadership.
- Communication: Ensuring clear and effective communication across departments and with suppliers.
🧠 What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and brings:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
- 2-3 Years of Purchasing Experience (plastics preferred)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Experience in plastics distribution (preferred)
- A proactive, independent mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and organizational abilities
- Comfort working with both small and large vendors
- SAP experience (preferred but not required)
