Your responsibilities
- Develop and govern concepts to ensure compliance with key ESG regulations, including LkSG, CSDDD, EUDR, CBAM, the EU Forced Labour Regulation, and UFLPA – translating legal requirements into practical, auditable procurement processes.
- Lead cross-functional ESG projects within Procurement, covering processes, roles, governance structures, and control frameworks.
- Translate strategic ESG objectives into concrete procurement requirements, working closely with Quality, SCM, Finance, and IT to ensure consistent implementation.
- Monitor regulatory and legal developments across the ESG landscape, assess their impact on Procurement, and represent Procurement's interests in ESG committees and cross-functional working groups.
- Bring a strong legal and compliance-oriented perspective to the team, supporting the interpretation of new and evolving due diligence legislation and its translation into governance and control mechanisms.
- Design and continuously improve supplier management processes: risk analysis, prevention and remediation measures, audits, and the Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Ensure audit readiness across all ESG processes and tools – including complete documentation, traceability, and evidence management to withstand internal and external audits as well as regulatory inspections.
- Build and maintain an ESG KPI reporting framework, including dashboards and the underlying ESG tool and data landscape.
Your profile
- You have successfully completed a University degree, an 8-semester bachelor's degree, or a comparable qualification – ideally with a legal, compliance, business, sustainability or procurement background.
- You have a strong understanding of legal and regulatory due diligence frameworks (such as LkSG, CSDDD, EUDR, CBAM, EU Forced Labour Regulation, or UFLPA) and enjoy translating complex legal requirements into practical business processes.
- You bring solid knowledge of procurement processes, particularly supplier management, as well as experience in governance and organizational development.
- You are characterized by a meticulous, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working, with a strong understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ESG regulations.
- You have experience preparing processes and documentation for audits and are comfortable ensuring traceability and evidence management in a regulatory context.
- You communicate confidently and professionally with internal departments as well as domestic and international authorities. Strong stakeholder engagement comes naturally to you.
- You have very good written and spoken English skills for close collaboration within an international team and with cross-functional stakeholders; German language skills are a plus.
- You work reliably, independently, and responsibly, while also demonstrating strong teamwork skills and a high willingness to collaborate across departments.
