Your responsibilities
Salary: $85,000-$95,000 annually (Based on Experience)
Support the acoustical design & development of new products and product improvements.
- Responsible for the conception and realization of new and enhanced NVH solutions for steering components and their sub-components
- Develop acoustic evaluations for manufacturing lines to ensure product quality.
- Assist manufacturing engineering in integrating end-of-line tests and resolving any measurement issues that might arise.
- Plan, define, and execute acoustic/vibration correlations between lab, vehicles, and end-of-line measurements.
- Define and design test methods to support product development activities.
- Document test methods for steering component NVH measurements.
- Write work instructions for lab testing of steering components.
- Support the test lab in the conception/design of new NVH-related equipment, tools & fixtures.
- Responsible for NVH testing on prototype and production products
- Is co-responsible for the compliance to the Customer Engineering Specification (DVP&R planning, realization & analysis)
- Generate test reports and appropriate documentation.
- Specify, support, and conduct in-vehicle testing for noise and vibration.
- Analyze noise and vibration measurements on prototype vehicles and components, communicating these results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively manage multiple assignments by setting priorities, adapting to changing conditions, and demonstrating strong organizational skills and a proactive, deadline-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization while applying advanced knowledge of vibration and acoustic testing and analysis, particularly in sound quality determination and noise source identification.
Your profile
BS Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on vibration and acoustics.
Preferred qualifications include post-graduate education specializing in vibration or acoustics (such as an MS or PhD in Engineering), along with at least one year of post-graduate engineering work experience, ideally focused on vibration or acoustics.
