POSITION SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate numerically controlled milling / drilling machine to perform machining operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement performing 5S and safety audits.
- TPM activities and creating programs that foster cost reductions.
- Studies blueprints / setup instructions to determine dimension, proper tooling, machining required and feed and speed rates.
- Calls down appropriate program for part or writes program for part.
- Selects and installs tooling into tool posts, turrets or indexing heads and automatic tool change magazine in sequence specified on process sheet.
- Accurately completes appropriate production related paperwork.
- Maintains machines to insure maximum machine performance.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Performs all duties and operations in a safe manner in accordance with all company rules and safety procedures.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EDUCATION: Knowledge of computer and electronic equipment, effective time management, effective communication, previous machining experience required.
EXPORT CONTROL: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
Salary Range: $32.47/hr
