Position Summary: This is a 3rd shift position. Perform physical operations in Utility activities. Execute in the most efficient manner of operation of the utility position in conjunction with Facilities Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Paint and rustproof finished parts prior to packing, wrap parts with materials specified, attach name plates, stamp model and serial numbers and other information as required on parts or packages, sizing and producing shipping containers.
- Operate tow motor, overhead crane, hand trucks, utility tractor and other small material handling equipment to transfer materials to various locations as instructed.
- Load and unload trucks for shippers, customers, and sub-contractors.
- Disassemble, clean and prepare stock bearings so that modifications can be made as specified. Reassemble, seal, paint, etc. after modifications have been completed.
- Keep shipping area and outside grounds in neat and orderly condition, including sweeping, general cleaning, mowing grass, keeping planted areas free of weeds, keeping litter picked up, and doing other outside maintenance.
- In coordination with facilities management maintain ring campus areas for raw material, wastewater, chips and dunnage in a clean and orderly manner.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Previous machining and work in a production environment preferred.
Export Control: This position requires access to export controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
