Position Summary: Manage military and defense designated key accounts. Develop new customers and new opportunities for defense products. Provide written reports regarding key account activity, competitor activity and market trends for defense products. Set territory targets and monitor progress towards achieving goals. Develop and implement strategies aimed at increasing bearing sales, profitability and market share. Provide data to management to help establish order and revenue budgets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed KPI's
- KPI's may include but are not limited to the following: territory order income total, key account order income, number of key account leads, key account lead conversion rate, new opportunities, new opportunity conversion rate, open opportunities, successful closure rate of open opportunities, implementation of scheduling agreements, CRM data accuracy and total number of customer meetings
- Work directly with Territory Sales and align goals and objectives with Territory Sales Manager and VP Sales
- Work with Application Engineer department and request technical proposals and costing information during the RFQ process
- Follow the documented RFQ process and follow up with submitted quotations
- Work with the Sales Admin Team to service key accounts effectively
- Enter required data and information into CRM
- Report important account information to Territory Sales Manager and VP Sales
- Schedule and perform in person meetings with accounts and potential accounts
- Travel to customers and key accounts to increase the sales and profitability Travel requirement is 50% - 75%
- Attend trade shows
- Comply with ITAR, CUI, CMMC and DFARS regulations
- Network with AUSA, DLA and all relevant defense and government agencies
Team Responsibilities:
- Support inside and outside sales teams
- Empower Sales Admin team to effectively manage key accounts
- Report to Territory Sales Manager
- Work closely with AE on technical proposals
- Work with co-workers in a friendly non-competitive environment
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in defense related bearing / ring sales
Export Control: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
