CNC Programmer – Plastics Manufacturing

What You’ll Do
- Create, test, and optimize CNC program code for complex plastic parts using technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Modify and enhance existing programs to improve efficiency and meet evolving production demands
- Analyze program relationships to ensure changes don’t negatively impact other operations
- Troubleshoot and improve program performance by working closely with machinists and supervisors
- Partner with internal teams to understand and implement program updates and enhancements
- Resolve technical questions related to program intent, inputs/outputs, and system controls
- Develop and maintain tooling and equipment inventory specific to plastic machining
- Ensure programs include accurate tooling lists, process plans, and job aids for safe and efficient production
- Set up CNC machines, load raw plastic materials, and run test cycles to ensure parts meet customer specifications
- Support shop floor planning and workflow coordination
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Contribute to quality initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team success

What You Bring
- 2+ years of related experience with proven success as a CNC Programmer
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings
- Solid understanding of CNC programming and machine operations (plastic machining experience is a plus)
- Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- High attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
What Sets You Apart
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in CNC programming
- Knowledge of programming languages such as COBOL and Prolog
- Experience with object-oriented languages like Java, C++, or ACTOR
