Job Summary
In this role, you will ensure Copper & Brass Sales products and processes meet all applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will for implement effective quality assurance processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.You will also serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related activities within assigned branch locations, partnering with operations teams to maintain consistent quality standards and drive performance improvements.
Job Description
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure our products/processes are complaint with Quality Standards, Customer Requirements, Relevant Industry Standards, Regulations, and Certifications.
- Lead investigations for internal and external quality issues using tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, and 8D, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with Operations team to design quality control processes around new equipment installations, including inspection criteria, and capability studies
- Lead and support cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce defect rates
- Perform risk assessment (FMEA), process validation, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Lead and support internal and external audits including monitoring and auditing supplier quality
- Interface with suppliers to ensure incoming product quality and resolve quality issues
- Provide training to the production team on quality tools and quality management system procedures
- Provide real-time quality support to production team, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues that impact throughput, scrap, or rework
- Manage non-conforming product inventory and its timely disposition
- Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials and finished products
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions and prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.
- Utilize metrology tools and techniques to measure and analyze product dimensions and tolerances
- Mentor junior staff in quality practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a Related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of quality engineering experience in the manufacturing/fabrication or metals industries & ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to metals and machinery
- Proficiency in metrology and measurement techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Root Cause & Corrective Action including Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of inspection processes and manufacturing controls, industry standards such as ISO, AS, and IATF
- Ability to read technical drawings, including GD&T
- PC literacy, good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs regularly
- Up to 25% Travel
Preferred Requirements:
- Certified AS9100 or ISO9001 Auditor
- Familiarity with ASTM quality standards for Steel, Aluminum, Copper, and Brass
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP and Quality Management Systems

Job Compensation
$90-$110k Per Anum with Gainshare Incentive
