Job Summary

The Plant manager will provide leadership and direction to ensure the continual, efficient and uniform operation which will meet or exceed customer expectations in a safe and orderly manner.
He/she will develop and implement plans coordinated with the Corporate Business Plan to increase the reliability and continually improve the quality and efficiencies of the products and services provided by the business unit.

Job Description

Plant Manager II – Portland, OR

Base Salary: $115,000 – $140,000 + Annual Bonus Incentive

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager II to lead our Portland, OR facility. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing operations, driving efficiency, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Location: Portland, OR
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Compensation: $115,000 – $140,000 base salary plus annual bonus incentive
Eligibility: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder).

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily production operations using RMAS Warehouse Management System and Production Planning tools.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA safety standards.

  • Oversee accurate inventory verification and adjustments.

  • Recruit, train, and develop warehouse employees, while enhancing retention and engagement.

  • Manage equipment maintenance and minimize downtime.

  • Monitor warehouse quality and drive process improvements through SAP reporting.

  • Support sales and customer satisfaction with timely, effective solutions, including occasional customer site visits.

  • Lead Lean initiatives and recommend equipment investments to strengthen capabilities.

  • Oversee building security, compliance, and maintenance.

  • Conduct performance reviews and support consistent employee development.

  • Represent the facility in regional and corporate leadership meetings as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related).

  • Two or more years of warehouse supervision or leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or Ph.D.).

  • Experience in labor relations, ISO standards, Lean practices, and safety programs.

  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
