Vos responsabilités
The Head of Human Resources is responsible for providing strategic and operational Human Resources leadership across multiple manufacturing locations consisting of both unionized and non-unionized facilities. The role serves as a trusted business partner to local leadership teams while ensuring alignment with regional, Business Unit, and global People & Culture strategies.
This position is accountable for driving organizational effectiveness, labor relations, talent management, employee engagement, compliance, workforce planning, and change management initiatives to support operational performance and business growth. The incumbent operates within a matrix organization and maintains a close relationship with the Business Unit HR leadership team to ensure global alignment.
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute Human Resources strategies that support business objectives across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to site leadership teams
- Translate business strategies into workforce plans, talent initiatives, and organizational capabilities.
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability
Multi-Site HR Management
- Provide leadership and coaching to HR teams across multiple locations.
- Ensure consistent implementation and execution of HR policies and programs, across all facilities.
- Monitor key workforce metrics and implement action plans
- Support operational leaders in achieving business objectives.
Labor and Employee Relations
- Lead labor relations activities for unionized facilities, including collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, grievance resolution, and arbitration support.
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with union representatives and labor organizations.
- Partner with management teams to proactively address employee relations issues in both union and non-union environments.
Talent Management and Organizational Development
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent review processes.
- Ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies are implemented across all sites.
- Drive leadership development initiatives and talent pipeline programs.
- Support performance management processes
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, local, and international employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain compliance with labor agreements, company policies, and corporate governance requirements.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Ethics functions regarding employment-related matters.
Global and Matrix Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Business Unit and global HR teams to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives
- Provide regular workforce updates and metrics to leadership.
- Support implementation of global HR programs, policies, and systems.
Change Management
- Lead and support organizational transformation, integration, restructuring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive effective change management practices to ensure successful adoption of business initiatives.
- Coach leaders through periods of organizational change and workforce transitions.
Financial and Operational Responsibilities
- Develop and manage HR budgets for assigned locations.
- Monitor labor costs, headcount workforce-related expenditures.
- Support annual budgeting and strategic workforce planning processes.
Votre profil
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field required.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years leading multi-site HR operations (preferred).
- Significant experience in both unionized and non-union manufacturing environments required.
- Experience within the automotive or Tier 1 supplier industry strongly preferred.
- Experience working within a global matrix organization preferred.
- Experience supporting international leadership teams and global business structures preferred.
- Strong labor relations and collective bargaining experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and Mexican employment laws preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capability.
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to influence leaders at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience working effectively with international stakeholders, including German-based leadership teams.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Additional labor relations or leadership certifications are advantageous.
