Vos responsabilités
- Advise the business unit board on all legal issues relevant for the business unit cement as a whole, on key legal risks, regulatory developments, and global legal trends.
- Ensure legal considerations are embedded in strategic and operational decision-making.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts in the cement industry worldwide, inter alia construction contracts, sales, supply and service contracts, F&E agreements, license contracts etc.
- Ensure compliance with minimum standards and mitigate high-risk clauses in key sales and procurement contracts.
- Conduct settlement negotiations and manage contentious legal disputes and litigation proceedings.
- Lead and develop the global legal team, including setting performance goals, succession planning, and training.
- Select and oversee external legal advisors, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders globally.
- Promote a culture of ethics, compliance, and legal awareness throughout the organization.
Votre profil
- Fully qualified lawyer with at least 5 - 10 years of professional experience in leading an international legal department preferably in plant engineering and construction business
- Excellent expertise in legal assessment and risk mitigation
- Proven legal management skills and strong advisory competence
- Intercultural competence and empathy openness and sensitivity in dealing with different cultures, recognizing people in their diversity, and adapting one's behavior accordingly
- Experience in leading diverse teams
- Strong persuasive skills and the ability to address critical issues appropriately
- Full professional language skills in English, Spanish language skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel
