Job Summary
As a key member of the Strategy and M&A team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Materials Services in North America. This role is central to driving our “Materials-as-a-Service” transformation strategy, with a strong focus on identifying, evaluating, and integrating strategic acquisition opportunities.Job Description
- Strategic Transformation: Lead and support strategic initiatives that align with our “Materials-as-a-Service” vision, driving innovation, digitalization, and operational excellence across the organization.
- M&A Strategy & Execution:
- Proactively identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets that align with our strategic goals.
- Lead and coordinate the full M&A lifecycle including target screening, financial modeling, valuation, and strategic fit assessments.
- Manage and execute due diligence processes across functional areas (finance, legal, operations, HR, etc.) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop integration strategies and lead post-merger integration efforts to ensure value realization and cultural alignment.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and M&A priorities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with senior leadership in North America and Germany, as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in M&A, corporate development, or strategy consulting, ideally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end M&A processes including target identification, valuation, due diligence, and post-merger integration.
- Strong background in strategy development, innovation, supply chain, or digital transformation.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills with a solid grasp of strategic frameworks and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a “can-do” attitude.
- Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and effectively.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in diverse, cross-cultural environments.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to various audiences.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or related field).
