Summary:
Supports the financial management of the business through financial analysis, planning, reporting, and control activities that help drive operational excellence and business growth. Acts as a trusted financial resource to management by providing insights into business performance, supporting forecasting and budgeting processes, analyzing costs and inventory performance, and ensuring accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including accruals, account reconciliations, cost and inventory entries, and financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and related financial submissions.
- Analyze actual financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to provide financial insights and decision-support recommendations.
- Support cost accounting, inventory analysis, and standard costing activities while maintaining accurate inventory-related accounting and controls.
- Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators and other financial metrics for management.
- Monitor and approve purchase order requisitions in accordance with established processes and controls.
- Participate in audits and internal control assessments, supporting compliance and strong financial governance as processes evolve.
- Lead or support finance-related projects, process improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Develop knowledge of the transitioning business and serve as a reliable point of contact for related financial data, analysis, and questions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Perfil
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in a financial analyst, controller, or similar finance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of financial close, forecasting, budgeting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting processes.
- Understanding of IFRS accounting principles is preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze and clearly present financial information.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to partner across functions and management levels.
- Collaborative, proactive, and self-directed approach, with the ability to learn new business activities and processes.
- Ability to travel to Terre Haute, Indiana during the business transition and to Germany as business needs require.
