Tareas
The Quality Technicians conduct quality audits for aftermarket finished goods, operate measuring devices and equipment, and perform mathematical calculations with ease.
You will utilize measuring devices, operate equipment and perform mathematical calculations with ease. A keen eye and attention to detail will be critical to succeeding in this role.
This is a full-time role which works Monday through Friday.
- Perform inspection of incoming materials, subassemblies, and finished assemblies.
- Measure and evaluate product to defined processes and procedures.
- Identify non-conforming materials for disposition.
- Use hand tools and/or equipment to disassemble/assemble product.
- Enter information into system databases; such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Access & Excel.
- Perform basic failure analysis of product and/or components to identify potential causes.
- Document warranty material defects.
- Draft NCMR reports for review and subsequent release.
- Maintain and administer Calibration System.
- Draft or change process, procedure and work instruction documentation within Bilstein document management system.
- Actively participate in quality improvement meetings.
Perfil
We are looking for a candidate with technical acumen who can approach problem solving in a methodical way without direct guidance from quality engineers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous quality, manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse work experience.
- Automotive manufacturing and assembly work experience a plus.
- Basic technical understanding of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies.
- Proficient computer skills: typing, word processing, printing, etc.
- Ability to navigate and utilize necessary software tools and programs such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft.
- Basic understanding of statistical mathematics (Mean, Standard Deviation, Range).
- Basic ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, ANSI 14.5 Y (GDT).
- Ability to effectively perform measurements with calipers, height gages, Go/ No-Go gages, automated inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality system.
- Ability to problem solve in a methodical way.
- Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated successful employment track record, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to maintain a safe working environment.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Auditor.
