thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. seeks a Plant Manager I in Bolingbrook, IL.
Duties: Provide leadership and direction to ensure continual, efficient and uniform plant operations; develop and implement plans to increase reliability and continually improve quality and efficiencies of products and services; supervise branch production using production planning tools; correct and clarify incorrect warehouse procedures; develop plans and procedures to ensure employee and visitor safety; ensure operations and equipment are in compliance with corporate guidelines and OSHA standards; verify inventory and make adjustments; hire, train, motivate, and discipline warehouse employees; schedule and oversee training; evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases, and ensure maintenance of equipment to provide maximum availability and minimum down time; monitor quality and process improvement using SAP reports; facilitate lean practices; purchase or direct purchase of warehouse supplies; assist logistics in ensuring that trucks and drivers are compliant with transportation requirements; assist in contract negotiations.
Requirements: Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field of study, or foreign equivalent degree. In lieu of a Master degree, will accept Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field of study, or foreign equivalent degree, and two (2) years of work experience in direct warehouse supervision or team leadership. Education must include one semester of study in each of following: Lean Manufacturing; Quality Control/Management; Project management; Design and Control of production and manufacturing systems; Engineering Economic Analysis. In lieu of one semester of study in any of the above, will accept 6 months of work experience in the same.

Job Compensation
Wage range: $109,000 - $125,000 per year.
