Position Overview:
A mechanical engineer in the Atlanta, GA office is responsible for the creation, storage,
and dissemination of all documentation related to proprietary equipment which is
integral to the cement technologies business unit. The mechanical engineer reports
directly to the manager of the Equipment Design group. This person should possess
strong interpersonal skills and be capable of working well within groups both internal
and external to the company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Generate detail drawings and parts lists for equipment fabrication.
Develop general arrangement drawings for proprietary equipment.
Develop new products as well as expand existing product lines through the use of advanced 3-Dimensional modeling software.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations and Purchase Requisitions.
Perform Technical Reviews of vendor designed components that interface with proprietary equipment.
Inspect fabricated components for conformity to corporate quality standards.
Meet with clients and suppliers to discuss technical matters.
Demonstrate a commitment to safety.

This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Perfil
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft office.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Prior experience with equipment utilized in the cement and minerals industries such as vertical roller mills, preheater cyclones, rotatory kilns, clinker coolers, and tube mills.
Prior experience with the design of process gas ducts, material transport chutes, and dedusting ductwork in the cement industry.
Effectively communicate with the clients, project teams, equipment suppliers, field services, and office staff.
Prior experience with SAP Document Management System (DMS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the cement, minerals, or other heavy industries.
German language skills.
Travel Demands:
Travel up to 15% may be required, but it is not routine.
Travel to job sites & fabrication shops.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Valid passport
