Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Branch Coordinator (Warehouse Operations Assistant) to support our Plant Manager and amazing team at our Bolingbrook IL location. The ideal candidate will excel in prioritization, thrive in a warehouse environment, and effectively liaise across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse personnel to resolve issues.
- Schedule transportation needs and communicate with truck drivers for standard shipping.
- Ensure accuracy in truck load entries and timely deliveries for specific processes or commodities.
- Deliver work orders to appropriate personnel.
- Draft job-related correspondence, memorandums, and emails.
- Create ad hoc reports as needed.
- Respond to a high volume of daily communications.
- Thoroughly understand the work order process.
- Participate in and comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
- Perform duties safely, adhering to PPE requirements when necessary.
- Support operations through additional tasks as requested by the supervisor or manager.
- Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years planner/scheduler work experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Strong working knowledge MS Office
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
- Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
