Tareas
You will be part of our global Automation organization and play a key role in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of automation standards for electrolysis projects, including green hydrogen (AWE), chlor-alkali and HCl electrolysis technologies.
Your role involves assuming responsibility for defined engineering work packages to support parallel project execution and enhance delivery reliability and throughput as well as responsibility for complete automation scopes during various phases of project execution.
Your Responsibilities
- Acting as a technical lead for automation topics within projects executed by our global automation team.
- Performing basic and detail engineering for control and safety systems, including architecture design, hardware planning and software concepts.
- Supporting technical procurement, supplier clarification and evaluation of automation components and systems.
- Preparing and supporting Factory Acceptance Tests, including coordination with suppliers and alignment within our global automation team.
- Supporting installation, commissioning and troubleshooting activities for automation systems at construction sites worldwide (remote and on-site, as required).
- Serving as a key technical interface within our global automation organization and other global stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with internal standards, project-specific requirements, functional safety and IT/OT security guidelines.
- Creating and reviewing technical documentation using database-based and engineering IT tools.
- Actively sharing knowledge and best practices and mentoring junior engineers.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our automation solutions

Commissioning teams
Perfil
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable technical discipline.
- Several years of professional experience in automation engineering for industrial or process plants, preferably in chemical or electrolysis plant engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial automation systems and hardware, including SAS and PLC platforms from leading manufacturers.
- Solid knowledge of network and fieldbus technologies (e.g. Profinet, Modbus TCP).
- Experience or strong understanding of functional safety and IT/OT security concepts in industrial environments.
- Ability to work independently and structured, with a strong sense of ownership for technical results and quality.
- Proven capability to work in international and intercultural teams, especially in close collaboration with European counterparts.
- Very good English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel internationally on a project basis.
- Natural inclination to coach and support less experienced colleagues, acting as a role model within the team.
