Your responsibilities
thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. seeks a Regional OPEX Manager in Bolingbrook, IL.
Duties: ensure achievement of key performance indicators in the areas of productivity, deliveries, customer satisfaction, quality, and safety; communicate and gather data for continuous process improvement; assist plant operations managers in planning and executing capital projects to improve safety, product quality, machine setup and utilization; conduct process studies, establish standardized work, and train employees; collaborate with quality department to establish and document Standard Operating Instructions for machining and non-machining processes; implement Lean techniques in all departments; perform job safety analysis and lead employees in creating safer work environments; monitor utilization of equipment and personnel resources to identify opportunities, and implement actions to improve productivity and efficiency; perform internal audits and scans to ensure compliance to state, legal and company requirements; ensure the ability and effectiveness of the processes to maintain quality of product throughout the value stream; and perform cost saving analysis through continuous improvements and training.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Industrial, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study. Education must include one semester of study in each of following: lean manufacturing; quality management systems; statistics; project management; and six sigma principles. In lieu of one semester of study in any of the above, will accept 6 months of work experience in the same.
