Job Summary

Join our GROWING Red Metal Strip Sales Force!

In this REMOTE opportunity, the right individual will generate or grow red metal strip sales with new customers in the market of automotive connector products. They will maintain and develop relationships at automotive OEMs and automotive technology companies as designated by the manager. The position is responsible for growth of the tkMNA red metal strip presence in Mexico. This position will also require travel up to 50% monthly.

This position will have multi-site responsibility for Bolingbrook, IL, Brownsburg, IN and Smithfield, RI.

Job Description

Summary of Position:

  • Drive profitability through effective leadership of sales team.

  • Develop and manage the marketing plan for the branch / region

  • Monitor the competitive environment to identify and understand competitors. Conduct SWOT analyses of ThyssenKrupp Materials NA vs. customer buying motivation and competitor’s approach to customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate and manage the short and long-term sales strategies established for the region or branch.

  • Supervise, train, and develop sales representatives; resolve conflicts; ensure work product consistently meets established standards; and take required corrective/developmental action to improve performance when needed.

  • Assist with key or complex sales or customers. May service several key customers.

  • Make sales calls on selected accounts with all Outside Sales Reps.

  • Manage all sales administration activities, including budgets, expense reports, lean activities, maintenance of sales systems, pricing lists, inventory reports, etc.

  • Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies

Minimum Requirements:
· 4 year degree or equivalent experience
· Computer literate
· 3-5 years outside sales
· Experience in TQM.
· Must be familiar with finance for non-financial managers
· Skilled in strategic selling and time management
· Thorough product knowledge required.

Preferred Requirements:
· Completion or working towards MBA
· Leadership training and team building experience
· Training in strategic planning and motivation
· 1-2 years operations
· 1-2 years inside sales.

Job Compensation

$160,000 annual salary + annual incentive compensation
