Your responsibilities
Responsible for Supervising the branch inventory and material control function relating to the on-site and off-site storage, control, and distribution of company-controlled material and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This involves inventory control, storage, and assisting with scheduling activities and processes. This position reports to the Inventory Manager and supervises inventory and material control operators, material control analysts, master schedulers, and material control Leads, as applicable to the facility.
Your profile
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for supervision of daily physical inventories at branch location to audit, control cut-off, and facilitate completion of inventory and report generation.
- Audit and process adjustments submitted.
- Review and analyze data to identify trends and issues from daily, weekly, monthly inventory reports and take appropriate corrective actions as needed.
- Work cross-functionally with other supervisors and managers to provide communication of support operations in the movement and proper storage of inventory in their perspective areas.
- Participate in the financial month end close process by reviewing and ensuring accurate branch level material information is forwarded to Corporate.
- Analyze inventory to propose changes in storage strategy or warehouse layout.
- Compute cost of scrap sold numbers for branch and generate reports used to monitor scrap activity.
- Assist in provide training and documentation on inventory control, physical inventories, and scrap management.
- Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, ISO and 6S Initiatives, compliance and Lean initiatives, requirements, and/or trainings.
- Ability to access and work in SAP or other Warehouse Management System
- Monitor the job work process to ensure that inventory is accounted for and that adjustments and/or journal entries are processed correctly.
- Regularly preform inventory audits to validate inventory record and correct any discrepancies.
- Assist in reviewing and monitoring Specials Inventory reports taking appropriate action ensure inventory pounds are accurate.
- Assist in the hiring and training of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity and accuracy, supervise employees’ daily activities to support site operations. Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary functions.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-2 years of previous Supervisory or Management experience
- 1-2 years of Inventory or Material Control experience.
- Knowledge of cycle count programs, inventory reconciliation and he ability to analyze data.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, positive and knowledgeable manner.
- Ability to interact and work cross-functionally with internal and external customers
- Proficiency using the computer, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferably with SAP
- Meet ITAR compliance – This position requires access to export-controlled technical data. Employment is contingent upon OneBox’s ability to obtain all necessary export authorizations
Preferred requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent education and experience
- 1-3 years of 3PL experience preferred
- Should have excellent leadership and administration skills and abilities
- Strong motivational, effectual team building and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and troubleshoot and resolve issues
